A full house at the Presentation Gym Killarney last evening was not enough to roar the Cougars to victory as The Bees were full value for this win in a very entertaining game as they continued their unbeaten run this season. Cougars took the early lead with two three pointers by Darren Gaffey that had the home fans excited but this stung the Bees into action with Cougars leading 9-8 the visitors took control to lead 21-15 by the end of the qtr thanks two three pointers by point guard Justin Tiner who was proving to be a real crowd favourite. Cougars started the second qtr well with Shane Horgan icausing problems they reduced the lead to 21-24 before a timeout by coach Ray Shovlain rejuvenated the Bees as they took total control with Justin Blondell impressing hitting some big scores to restore the visitors advantage as the Bees went on to dominate leading 47-24 at the break. It was more of the same in the second half as St Ambrose dominated with Cougars struggling with the intensity of the game the Bees entertained the home crowd with some great scores as they set up a deserving victory. Next up for the Bees TEAM MEADOWLANDS St Brendan's Tralee and with Donnaghy and Quirke in the line up an exciting game is in prospect.
